Scrap booking using Canvas

Yesterday I managed to made another scrap book.

However, this round I made it by using canvas board for oil / acrylic painting & I loves the outcome.

My scrap book canvas design is as below.

I used a canvas board (140x180mm). I color the canvas edge using Distress ink from Ranger distress ink - Walnut Stain.

Left side of canvas board:
1. Punch paper (white paper acid free paper for graphic designer use): MS Punches - Cherish & Ranger distress ink - Aged Mahogany.
2. Pearls
3. Roses: added some glitter glue
4. Swirl: Die cuts (forget which co. as I went to a craft lesson with free flow embellishments)

Right side of canvas board:
1. Punch pattern paper: 7gypies (Fluer De Lys), MS Punches - Doily & Ranger distress ink - Aged Mahogany.
2. Cut out a pattern paper: Webster's Pages (Western Romance: Sweet Romance)

Nearer view of the glittered roses and a look of myself. (^_^)

Nearer view of the sentiments from Kaiser & stamped on Docrafts (Spring Time). The paper edge was colored with Ranger distress ink - Walnut Stain & added glitter glue.

I choose "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" as my self portrait sentiment because this is my first time to go for photo shooting. I have been wonder how would I look like for a real photo shooting & I was satisfied with the outcome after all the posing instructed by the photographer. I really thank to the photographer because he managed to capture the photos scene that I really want. (perhaps because of my dresses then he managed to get the idea.. hahaha)

That's all for now. Stay tuned.

Scrapbooking (requested by friends)

Scrapbooking attempts by my friends.

This year I made scrap booking requested by my 2 friends.

Scrapbooking - 1 layout each for Sister & Husband for birthday occasion.

This is the layout for sister's birthday. In this layout, I selected few photos which elaborated on sister & family relationship. I used BoBunny (6x6) as the base. Then, adding embellishment - lace, roses, flowers & pearl. I also used distress ink from WRMK & Ranger for the border. Added butterflies from MS punches.

Meanwhile, this is the layout for her hubby's birthday. In this layout, I selected their traveling photos to Europe which elaborated more on love. I used BoBunny (6x6) as the base. Then, adding embellishment - ribbon, shiny stone, crystal stone & fabric tape. I also used distress ink from Ranger for the border. Added snow flakes paper punches to have snowy effect. Loving words was heat embossed too.

Scrapbooking - 1 layout of myself (requested by my friend).

I met up with my friend on Saturday to help her out on scrapbook layout. This is my first attempt to teach my friend on scrapbook with my very little knowledge about scrapbook. Well, we were learning the basic stuffs.

This A4 size card base is easily obtained from local stationery shop. Since it is approx. 80gsm, we paste another heavier card stock behind this fancy flower paper. Then, we add-in the embellishment - flowers, lace, butterflies punches, leaves & buttons. We used Ranger ink to dab on the lace (actual color was white) & page border.

That is all about my scrapbooking attempts.

Happy Sunday!

Wedding Card

Every year I have few wedding invitation from relatives, friends and colleagues.

Yet, not all of the wedding invitation I made handmade card to the lovely couple. This year, I try to achieve my target to make a nice wedding card to wishes them "Happily Ever After".

This round, I make a wedding card for one of my friend (I hope they don't read this post as it was supposed to be a surprise card to both of them).

Basically, I look into vintage look.

A sneak peak of my card - Congratulations! on you wedding day...

This is the tag I did for the word stamping. The words was heat embossed so it will looks like embossed word. I add a few pearl sticker on the left & right side of the tag. And even I distressed the side of the tag. I used a card stock which give a blend of orange-brown with white.

Secondly, I dabbed the distressed ink with sponge on the doily paper. I used a brown string tied with button. This part, you can see it at the result photo.

Then, I used many flower embellishment to create a nice frame flower corner. I placed the cute lovely bear near the corner. I purposely placed it at the corner so it gives a little effect of shyness.

See, how cute & lovely it is?

Lastly, this is the result of my lovely creation specially make for them. Happily Ever After~!

Fairy Tale

When we was kid, we (the girls) always watch fairy tale movie.

I still remembered that I always love to watch Tinker Bell animation movie. I watched it too from local TV last year. Aww... It was so fun watching it.

I did a card using the Flower Fairies from Crafter's Companion. I get this stamp when I bought the paper craft magazine past few years back. So, I just have this with me.

I colored the flower fairy (Wild Cherry) with purple & red flower around her. I let her sat on the rosette. Meanwhile, sticking one big flower with some glitter touch up just right beside her. I added also the Magnolia doohickey dies - Butterfly dream swirly butterfly, so it will looks like in the garden.

Meanwhile, I used the Ranger Distressed Ink to color the punched card. Added a strip of pattern paper at the background.

Above are the final result of my handmade card.

I hope you enjoy my lovely creation.
